Welcome to the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance In July 2003, a large group of experienced fundraisers organized the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance (CCA), an organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer prevention, education, research and treatment programs for the citizens of Harford County and for programs in the state of Maryland whose mission is the research and treatment of cancer. The CCA is dedicated to raising funds to benefit cancer patients here in Harford County and to support research and treatment programs in Maryland. In addition to the Inaugural Decorator Show House, the CCA fundraising plans include an annual Holiday Tour of Homes, Bus trips, Fashion Events, and Garden Marts. Our activities are numerous and our membership enthusiastic. Please join us. The Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation (UCHF) supports the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance fundraising efforts and provides marketing and public relations support. The CCA partners with Upper Chesapeake Health to provide support for cancer initiatives. The Chesapeake Cancer Alliance members affiliated with the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation for it's mutual benefit. Currently, the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation's Cancer LifeNet Program is selling all occasion note cards (see flyer) featuring the beautiful garden mural on the wall in the Cancer LifeNet Suite. Local artist, Tom Spicer, painted the landscape in memory of his wife, Susan, who lost her battle with cancer in 2006. Tom is also the father of Leslie Clark, RN, one of UCHF's nurse navigators. A box of 25 Garden Mural note cards sells for $20. Your purchase of these cards will help support the Cancer LifeNet Program and its mission to serve all individuals living with cancer in Harford and Cecil Counties. To purchase the cards, call UCHF's Helpline at 1-866-393-4355. —Friends helping friends fight cancer in Harford County |
