CCA is taking a cruise down the Potomac River

CCA is planning a "FUN" event. No meetings, no volunteer work - just a day of relaxation and good food. We are taking a cruise down the Potomac on the Odyssey - Washington D.C.'s most elegant cruising vessal. This is a two hour cruise with narration about the national landmarks along the Potomac, a gourmet three couse meal and live music entertainment. At our CCA meeting on Tues., several people had been on the cruise and said it was a memorable experience. Everyone remarked that the food was excellent.

  • When: Tuesday, June 24, 2008
  • Getting there: We have reserved a Hunt Valley bus
  • Time: We will leave Bel Air about 8:15 and return about 4 p.m.
  • Price: $76.00 - includes lunch and bus and cruise

We need to send a deposit in to reserve our date by April 29. Please call (410-838-6058 or 410-838-2500) or email (cclittle@clearviewcatv.net) Claudine Little by April 28 as to the number of reservations you want. The bus only holds 57 so get your name on the list early. Invite your friends, family and spouses.

The following is review from a guest passenger found on the website www.odysseycruises.com:

"The Odyssey offers wonderful cruises along the Potomac River with beautiful views of the Washington, D.C. area. As you board the ship, the Captain and crew greet you and escort you to your private table. You may take a seat, enjoy a drink, or explore the ship. The Odyssey has several dining rooms and you do not feel crowded. Each section has its own separate music. The boat has a sleek design with full-pane windows. Every seat is a good one with beautiful views of the sights of Washing ton and Old Town Alexandria. The elegant menu includes a variety of choices of seasonal hors'doeuvres, appetizers, entrees and desserts. The music is varied to appeal to all ages. The sound is kept at a reasonable level to allow for converstaion. The service is excellent and you can set your own pace."
