Heartbeat in Bel Air, MD Announces Evening to benefit The Chesapeake Cancer Alliance with Brighton through the "Power of Pink"

Bel Air, Maryland - Heartbeat announced today that it is hosting a day and evening event to help raise Cancer Awareness.

During the day long event on Thursday October 9, Heartbeat will be donating a portion of all purchases locally to the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance. Last year a similar event helped raise $700. This year Brighton representative Donna Hutchinson will join us from 5-8 pm for a fun filled evening that will include a raffle for a New Brighton Handbag, with all proceeds going to the CCA.

Pictured left to right are Laurie Manns Adolph and Kitty Pickett of the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance and Susan Rodriguez and Krista Lewis from Heartbeat.

"We are proud to host the event again this year," said Susan Rodriguez, Owner of Heartbeat. "We have been inspired in the effort to help raise awareness and funds by one of our suppliers, said Ken Rodriguez, "Since we have opened our shop, Brighton has afforded us the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of worthy causes." Whether it is their current "Power of Pink" Campaign to raise cancer awareness, or any of the many causes that Brighton spearheads, we feel fortunate to have a partner so willing and able to give back, and in doing so, affording us that same opportunity."

Brighton on its website says it best "Live for today, give for tomorrow. In the circle of life, nothing is more precious than the people who touch our hearts ... and the memories we have shared... By working together, we can create another joyful memory of the moment when we celebrate finding a cure."

For more information on the event, or any of the other events that we partner with Brighton throughout the year contact Susan, Ken or any of the staff at Heartbeat at (410) 420-0425. Heartbeat is located at 13 N. Main Street in Bel Air.
